Troop 591 is in our 40th year of providing a safe place for boys to grow into men.
Boy Led
We are truly a boy led troop. What this means is that youth leaders make the decisions about what activities the Scouts will undertake each month, and run each meeting and outing from start-to-finish. The Scoutmasters provide guidance (when needed) along the way, but the boys are in charge.
Mixed Age Patrol
A couple of months after joining the troop, a Scout will be assigned to the patrol that best matches his personality and interests. Unlike some troops, our patrols are made up of boys ranging in ages from newly crossed-over Webelos to those about to turn 18. This mixed-age approach gives our older Scouts the opportunity to teach and guide the younger Scouts through the program.
Outings
We strive to have about two outings per month -- at least one of those is an overnight camping trip. Our Scouts enjoy car camping, moderately challenging backpacking, bicycle trips, snow adventures, and day trips. High Adventure
We will be offering a High Adventure program in the 2012 summer, as well as 2013.

We meet every Monday night from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
